1. God’s power is made obvious through human weakness (4:7)
   • It’s always been this way:
     • Moses
     • Paul
     • Jesus
   • ‘Weak’ does not mean ‘useless’
2. God’s power is made obvious through deliverance from hardship (4:8-9)
   • It has to be this way (4:10-11)
   • ‘Impressive’ does not mean ‘effective’
3. Persevere by valuing:
   • The spiritual over the physical (4:16)
   • The future over the present (4:17)
   • The invisible over the visible (4:18)
